
Ian is an analyst, strategic advisor, and writer.
He is an experienced researcher, author, and speaker with expertise in the areas of entrepreneurship, innovation, and the economy. His work has been published with prominent research institutions and is regularly featured in leading press outlets, such as The New York Times, The Economist, Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, and Harvard Business Review, among many others.
Ian has also been a consultant to leaders in the technology, media, and finance sectors on a range of innovation, strategy, and public policy engagements. He advises and invests in software, media, and consumer startups in the United States and Europe.

Ian lives in Santa Barbara, California with his wife Suzy, their two sons Teddy and Charlie, and Frankie, a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel. They previously lived in London and San Francisco.
